Swiss Mountains Adventure by Rail

Hold on to your hats for a spectacular ten-day rail tour taking in some of Switzerland’s most exhilarating mountain tops. From Zurich head deep into the Valais for three nights in unmissable Zermatt. Get the best views of The Matterhorn from atop of the Gornergrat, then take it one step closer with a trip to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise – almost 4000m above sea level. From here take the train to Interlaken where you can watch the sun go down whilst enjoying dinner at the top of Harder Kulm and ride the Eiger Express on the way to the top of the magnificent Jungfraujoch. Take the train through some wonderful scenery on your way to Lucerne then take to the lake for a scenic cruise, climb the steepest rack railway to the top of Mount Pilatus for a night in the iconic Pilatus Kulm Hotel. Come back down the mountain for two nights in Lucerne and an and enjoy a ride on the steepest funicular in the world – the amazing barrel shaped Stoosbahn.
